I have been seeing the news and looking at our nation. The forces of the enemy are not happy and they are fighting back with all they have.

Black Block , Black Lives Matter, many of these anti-trump aggravators do not like what is taking place.

What is taking place is a chance to reclaim some of the high ground that we as Christians lost due to our complacency.

The great news is that “Silent Majority” is stopping being the silent types. They  / we are getting out there and we are starting to push back and telling these reprobates that we are doing what is right and we are bringing God back into everyday life here in the United States.

Folks, it isn’t the laws we make or the people we elect that will help change the course of our nation.

It is the Christians and the sharing of the gospel that will make the difference.

The enemy is totally angry that the strong conservative base, which is primarily Christian, have won.

They enemy does not like that we have a president who is keeping his promises, doing what is right and standing strong with Israel.

The enemy and his soldiers do not like this. They hate God, hate Jesus Christ, hate the Bible. These people who are burning the cities, destroying property, violently attacking people are the soldiers of the enemy. They do not want to see God become prominent in our country again and they are fighting hard against it.

How do we combat this attitude?

We do it by proclaiming the gospel and supporting ministries that help spread the good news.

Like it or not, our nation is in need of the gospel. But with the sugar coated pastors that stand in many churches today, it is very hard to get the hard core gospel out there.

This idea that we have to “love” everyone into heaven is a bunch of rubbish.

Folks, if people do not hear the unadulterated gospel, respond to it and accept Christ as their savior, they will burn in hell for eternity.

Dying Testimonies of The Saved & Unsaved

It is interesting, this past weekend I met up with one of my self-defense students.  He is15 and very bright. He loves the Lord and is committed to Him.

We were talking about what our nation needs and I was telling him that our nation needs to hear the gospel. But more than that our nation needs to know that they are lost before they can be saved.

The people need to know that there are consequences to life and that when that time comes, they will die in agony, regret, and absolute terror if the person does not know Christ.

He asked me how I know this and I shared with him one of my favorite books,  ” The Dying Testimonies of the Saved and Unsaved.”

What I love about this book is that it truly shows the Grace of our God as  well as the known horror of the heathen when they realize at those last living moments that they will be spending eternity in Hell.

When you read some of these stories, it shakes you up and out of the apathy we live in. The stories remind us of our mission here on earth.

That mission? To share the gospel no matter what.

One of my favorite verses is 1 Peter 3:15 which says…

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

But I am also reminded of another verse that should goad us into action. That verse is 1 Corinthians 15:34, and  it says…

Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

Yes we will face shame when we stand before the Lord if we did not do our job here on earth.

Here are a few stories I want to share.

“Ohl I Have Missed It at Last!”

Some time ago, a physician called upon a young man who was ill. He sat for a little while by the bedside, examining his patient, and then he honestly told him the sad intelligence that be had but a very short time to live. The young man was astonished; he did not expect it would come to that so soon. He forgot that death comes “in such an hour as ye think not.

At length he looked up into the face of the doctor, and, with a most despairing countenance, repeated the expression, “I have missed it-at last.”

“‘What have you missed?” inquired the tender hearted, sympathizing physician.

“I have missed it-at last,” again be repeated.

“Missed what?”

“Doctor, I have missed the salvation of my soul.”

“Oh, say not so-it is not so, Do you remember the thief on the cross ?”

“Yes, I remember the thief on the cross. And I remember that he never said to the Holy Ghost, ‘Go thy way,’ But I did. And now He is saying to me, ‘Go your way. “

He lay gasping a while, and looking up with a vacant, starting eye, he said, “I was awakened and was anxious about my soul a little time ago. But I did not want to be saved then. Something seemed to say to me, ‘Don’t put it off, make sure of salvation.’ I said to myself, ‘I will postpone it.’ I knew I ought not to do it. I knew I was a great sinner, and needed a Savior.

“I resolved, however, to dismiss the subject for the present. Yet I could not get my own consent to do it until I had promised to take it up again, at a time not remote and more favorable. I bargained away, resisted and insulted the Holy Spirit. I never thought of coming to this. I meant to have made my salvation sure, and now I have missed it-at last.”

“You remember,” said the doctor, “that there were some who came at the eleventh hour.”

“My eleventh hour,” he rejoined, “was when I had that call of the Spirit. I have had none since-shall not have. I am given over to be lost. Oh I have missed it! I have sold my soul for nothing-a feather -a Straw – undone- forever!”

This was said with such indescribable despondency. that nothing was said ill reply. After lying a few moments, he raised his head, and looking all around the room as if for some desired object, he buried his face in the pillow, and again exclaimed in agony and horror, “Oh! I have missed it at last!” and died.

Here is a very moving  story from the same book which exemplifies the need to know the gospel and know how to share the gospel …

Dying Without God

A youth at one of the large iron works in Sheffield was some time ago accidentally thrown on to a red hot amour plate. When he was rolled off by his fellow workmen, it was doubtful if he could live, as nearly all one side of him was burned to the bone. His workmates cried, “Send for the doctor,” but the poor suffering youth cried, “Never mind sending for the doctor; is there anyone here can tell me how to get saved? My soul has been neglected, and I’m dying without God. Who can help me?”

Although there were three hundred men around him, there was no one who could tell him the way of salvation. After twenty minutes of untold agony he died as he had lived.

The man who saw this accident, and heard the cries of the dying youth, was a wretched backslider, and when I asked him how he felt about the matter, he said, “I have heard his cries ever since, and wished I could have stooped down and pointed him to Jesus, but my life closed my lips.”

Does your life tell sinners that you are saved, or does it close your lips, when those around hear your talk and witness your actions?

I highly recommend that you get this book “The Dying Testimonies of the Saved and Unsaved.” It will truly change your life.

Because I was talking to my student about this book, I have pulled it back out and I am reading the stories in it once again. These help cement my faith in the Lord and helps be reacquaint myself with the God’s grace that is always there for me.

Truly, God’s grace is sufficient for us and when you read this book, it really helps you come to that realization, even in those last minutes in this world as we are leaving this and being taking to our heavenly home in the next.

Awake To Righteousness – We Must Not Waste

1  Corinthians 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

This is a verse that should convict everyone who reads it.

Like it or not the nation is in the state that it is in because not enough Christians cared. But in this last election it seemed that many Christians did get on their knees and prayed. I honestly believe that God heard our prayers and spared our nation.

But we cannot waste this chance. We have to start making a stand for the Lord, share the hope and proclaim the gospel.

What we do not want to happen is miss that opportunity to share the gospel with someone that God puts in our path, and we ignore that chance.

If we do, it truly will be to our shame and when we stand before God  to give an account, we will have to answer for that.

I pray that you will always share the gospel when the Lord calls upon you to share.

If the Holy Spirit is prodding your heart to share, then jump on it and share right then, right there. We need to be obedient to Him and help expand the Kingdom of our Lord as we are commanded to do in Matthew 28:19-20.

We have a chance to make a huge difference.

Stop listening to all these nay sayers wishing doom and gloom upon our nation.

We can help make America a nation that stands for God once again, but the key in doing that is bodly standing for Him, Sharing the Hope of Jesus Christ and proclaiming the good news that Jesus Christ is Lord.
