Tracye and I wanted to take a few moments and wish all of you a very Merry Christmas.
NOW… before some of you write me back, we all know what the “bible scholars” say… it isn’t Christ’s real birthday and it stems from pagan ceremonies.
AND … Yes, I am sick and tired of how it has been horribly commercialized and made into one big shopping day.
But you know what?
Right now, at this moment I do not care about any of that. This has been a tough year for all of us and we all can use a little “Joy To The World” in our lives right now.
Let us remember the following…
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
“and they shall call his name Emmanuel…” Which means, God With Us.
We used to care about our fellow man, but that seems to have left us for some time now.
SO, here is my challenge to you.
Let’s put all this junk aside for just a few days. Let’s look back when we did care, we loved to wish people Merry Christmas, we loved giving, smiling, laughing and be of good cheer.
Let’s have that sparkle in your eye once again and have the genuine love and compassion that we once had.
Let’s remember that even though this is not the day Christ was really born, let’s celebrate it as if it was and realize.. I mean really realize that God lowered himself and came to earth as a baby. Was raised as one of us, was able to sympathize with us and was truly.. God With Us.
He came down here in the flesh so that He could pay the ultimate price for or sins. He loved us so much that He allowed Himself to be beaten, scourged, mocked and broken for us. It is by His stripes we are healed and it is by His blood we are saved so that we may live with Him forever and ever.
So, for these next couple of days, lets put aside the troubles, the burdens, all the ugliness that the world has dumped upon us and let’s celebrate both in our hearts, but with our fellow man that God is with us and will never forsake us.
No matter what you think or believe, tell that stranger that you meet at the store, at the gas station, at work, where ever. Wish them Merry Christmas and also say.. YES!!.. God is with us!
That is my challenge to you for these next few days.
Are you up for it?
Please remember Tracye and I this holiday season.
Please pray that we can get back home to the US.
Please pray that God quickly send us buyers for our home.
Pray that He raises up the resources we need so that we can make it back home.
Thank you for being there for us and being part of our family. I am really looking forward to meeting more of you once we get back to the US and I am able to get back on the road again.
May God bless you and keep you and may His favor be upon you and your family in this coming new year. May it be joyful and memorable and that you and your family live exceedingly abundant for Him and in Him, Our Lord Christ Jesus.
