The government will reopen as we are set to borrow even more money. All they managed to do was put a small Snoopy Band aid on a bleeding sore that will never heal. In a couple of months, the situation will be worse. Everywhere you turn, it’s nothing but bad news. We are filled with wonder and dread as we, in all honesty, have no clue what’s going to happen.
Our preachers give us a false hope on Sunday morning; we escape into a football game in the afternoon while all around us the pressure of the end is squeezing us in.
We find ourselves watching things more and more closely. What is going to happen? We break out our Bibles and read books like Daniel, and the Minor Prophets. We go to Matthew 24, and then head to Revelation. We read the same thing looking for insight as to what’s going down.
At the end of the day, we find that we are more discouraged and depressed. No two news organizations can agree on anything so who do you believe? What do you believe?
Sometimes we need to close the books, turn of the computer, shut off the TV, and walk away from it all. Take a little vacation if you will.
So let’s think about some good news for a change. So often we think only of the gloom and doom that’s around us that we forget that God has given us promises of HOPE that we, as believers can cling to.
In John Chapter 14 1-3(KJV) Jesus told his disciples: Let not your heart be troubled, ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
This would be a good time to stop and shout with joy. If you are saved at this reading, you can claim this promise. Jesus said he was coming back to receive us unto himself. He also said that he was preparing a mansion for us. I don’t know about you, but I look at my humble surroundings and I can’t help but smile.

Now, if you put your faith in those phony bibles, they say that you are going to get a room. A room is no big deal. What, you got a chair, a TV, and a squeaky floorboard?
NO, Jesus said we are going to have a mansion. He is coming back for us. Whoo-Hoo! Every time I see clouds in the sky, the big white fluffy ones that shoot out sunbeams, I start getting excited. Jesus is coming back for us.
So it doesn’t matter what the President does, or if we run out of money, or even if Israel nukes Iran. Jesus said, I am going to prepare a place for you, then come and get you; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Now if you can’t get excited about that, you might want to check and see if you are saved!
How about this one… For the Lord himself shall descend with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first; Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (1st Thessalonians 4: 16-17 KJV)
Let’s go back to the real world for a second. Take a quick look at everything that is going on. Friends, it could be any second. Maybe even your next breath and we are out of here. Can you imagine meeting your loved ones again in the air? I think of some folks I won to Christ back in basic training and in the Gulf War. I have not seen them since but bless God, they are going up!
And in case you are wondering… so shall we ever be with the Lord. If I have learned anything about God and his word it’s this. God can not lie. If God said that we would ever be with the Lord then there is no going back. Saint’s, what a day that will be when my Jesus I will see… Can you picture it? We are going to leave all this wickedness behind. No more sin and pain. No more death, just glorious rapture of being with the Lord forever.
I’ll close with this one. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new, And he said unto me, Write; for these words and true and faithful…It is done. (Revelation 21 4-6a KJV)
We all would do well to memorize this verse.
My friends, we are going to be raptured up. We are going to get a mansion. We are going to be with Jesus forever.
What a promise God gave us. There will be no more tears, or death, or sorrow. Hey guess what, God said that there will be no more pain. It won’t exist. Think of that person who has to use a walker or someone who has been in a wheelchair for years on end. Those legs and back that makes it hard to get around, no more.
God said, I will make all things new. It’s not just a new heaven and new earth, how about a new you? A you that doesn’t hurt, a you that is no longer depressed, a you that is healthy, a you that doesn’t remember pain and suffering.
None of there promises will mean anything to you if you don’t know Jesus personally. The days we live in are coming to a close and there is a good chance you will be left behind. The promises mentioned above are only for the believing saints. But the offer is extended unto you.
Romans 10:13 (KJV) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Think of it dear friend. You will have a mansion, You will be raptured up, and God will wipe all tears from your eyes but only if you take a moment now and ask Jesus to come into your heart.
Will I see you when we are caught up in the clouds?
For those of you who already know Jesus, don’t let the goings on in the world get you down. We all know things are going to get worse from here.
So in the words of Jesus from John 14:27(KJV): Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Jesus is coming friends, the rapture is upon us. Let’s start jumping and one of these days, very soon, we will jump and not come back down.
Oh what a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see…
