Claiming Our Nation For God Again? Won’t Happen…Why?

ray-gano-medThis last weekend was the 4th of July.

I was reading all sorts of patriotic things and I had to ask myself, what am I celebrating?

The fact that Gay Marriage is now legal and that Pedophiles and polygamy is on the acceptance doorstep?

That we have all kinds of sexual hedonism taking place?

The fact that we parade our sins around for the entire world to see?

That we kill millions of babies every year?

That basically Christianity is now against the law.

Land of the free and home of the brave, maybe for the rest of the population, but not for Christians.

If you do not support Sodom and Gomorrah, well you are just not tolerant enough and therefore you need to be marginalized, vilified, and persecuted.

What’s next being rounded up and taken off to the gas chambers? If those who oppose us truly had their way, that is what they would do.

Don’t believe me, hang out on Facebook and read all those people with the pride flags over their picture. It will be a real wake up call.

As many people out there want to rally and try to claim our nation for Him again, it won’t happen.

For this to take place, a major change needs to come about. But that change needs to come from the pulpits first.

But it will not and here is why.

See it is God’s Word, His Law, that 96% of the preachers today refuse to preach. We no longer preach sin, hell, damnation, repentance, and submitting to Him and His Word.

Over and over again you hear people, me included, call for 2 Chronicles 7:14.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

We have been hearing this call for repentance since the Clinton era.

if-my-peopleHas anything really changed?

No.

Look back at 9-11 it is at that time that I truly believe that God started to lift His hand of protection and blessing from us. Sure the nation returned to God for just a short season. But did we repent after that?

No.

What did happen is that our leaders proclaimed that we will stand in defiance and with resolve to be the captain of our own ship.

We will rebuild bigger and stronger, we will stand harder and more fierce, and we will do this of our own accord.

In fact many of our leaders latched on to what I believe is a self proclaiming prophecy found in Isaiah 9:10. Thus condemning us and continuing our path of rebellion and destruction.

Again, did anything change?

No, it got worse.

Why?

First our leaders who claimed to be “Christians” refused to repent like we should have done.

But more than that 95% of the pastors out there have dropped the ball and have become hirelings instead of shepherds.

Pastors refused to look at a biblical solution. They failed to lead God’s people and our nation in repentance.

9-11-crossInstead of teaching God’s Word, they preach the warm fuzzies of “Your right life now” or your “purpose driven life” or a list of other candy coated things that the churches have latched on too.

Until repentance takes place at the pulpit, and until we as God’s people truly repent, our nation will continue on the path of destruction.

The fact is that we will not see any action take place from the pulpits. And because we will not see that accountability come from the pulpit, God’s people will not come to a point of full repentance.

Now let me say that yes, there are a few good churches with God fearing pastors preaching the truth, but not many and not enough right now to change the hearts of Christians nationwide let alone change the hearts of our nation’s people and that is what is going to need to take place.

Pastors have become addicted to the accolades of man. They give the people what they want to hear (itching their ears), instead of proclaiming the truth that scripture holds.

Since we know the pastors are more interested in their paychecks than their flock; it means that a lot of small home churches must take up the slack. That has already started and that is something that Prophezine tries and will continue to support.

In fact our Prophezine forum has become a place for people who have no home church to come and fellowship with other like-minded people, to share, encourage and pray for each other. It has been neat to see the forum grow in this manner.

Let me say this, I will continue to support those who have no home church and will provide whatever help I can to those small and home churches doing God’s Work.

When God is No Longer Important

shaklesI recently got an email from a PZ Member who really hit the nail on the head.

PZ Member Gary stated the following…

“Whenever a group of people throughout history have decided that God was not longer important…HE sold them into SLAVERY, and He did it through their enemies.”

We have been calling for repentance and promoting 2 Chronicles 7:14, which I am just as guilty of doing myself.

The problem is that we expect repentance to come from the other guy first and not ourselves. The other guy is always the greater sinner that needs to repent. Then once he does, then we can start repenting too.

At this rate, this nation is never going to repent and that is a fact. The proof is in the last election when we willingly gave power and our permission for the king to become the tyrant.

This is the primary reason why I say that we as a nation have passed the point of no return.

Our king has now been given the power. But what is worse, our enemies now view us as a prime target.

Just as the philistines invaded Israel due to their “weak tyrant king” we will also suffer at that hands of our enemies as well.

This in turn brings about a cleansing process.

mad-obiIn his email, PZ Member Gary said…

SLAVERY brought remembrance.
Remembrance brought repentance.
Repentance brought reform.
Reform brought obedience.

I hate to say it, but people calling for renewal and repentance for this nation will fall short as it always has in the past.

Why?

Because it goes against how God chastises and cleanses a nation that was once obedient to Him.

And… we do not want to repent.

A Look At A Repentant Nation

The ONLY way that we “might” be able to turn this ship around is that our leaders have a repentant heart.

A great example of this is found in Jonah chapter 3.

Jonah 3:1-10 (KJV) And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying,

2 Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.

3jonah So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days’ journey.

4 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.

5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.

6 For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.

7 And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:

8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.

9 Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?

10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

Will this happen to us?

No.

Why?

Because we are not a nation which wants repentance.

Again the proof of that is who we placed in office.

More proof is in how the people of the United States treats its Christians.

I got the following email and It kind of stood out from most of the “hate mail” I get.

Please note, that I did not change or edit anything, the language is pretty harsh with one curse word towards the end…

jesus asked you to change the world by taking care of your fellow man. instead you instill ignorance and fear and helplessness indulging yourselves in a practice that is considered a sin by all religions. seems to me that the end days mean an end to your twisted interpretation of religion which has created most of the brutality you now believe will claim the very existence of humanity. talk about a self fulfilling prophecy. and now i see my people taking your lead and it makes me sick.

jews have always used compassion and wisdom to solve problems and when i see instigators like netanyahu trying to set the middle east on fire all i can think of is that when you lay down with dogs you really do get up with fleas. centuries of exposure to low minded goyim like yourself has infected the jewish mind. are you happy now? you’ll be even more ecstatic when we all die or convert to christianity, right?

and, of course, it is all a cover for your racism. president obama has more christianity in his little finger than you do in your entire fat, ugly body. if these are truly apocalyptic times than he is our prince of peace. civilization started in africa and in the end it is the mother continent that will bring peace and sanity to the world.

and i hate to break it to you, fool, but if all this shit really does go down as you predict, that little piece of texas you inhabit won’t last very long. maybe i’m wrong. maybe your delusions will actually shield you from the nuclear missiles that will rain on the earth when the red horse rides. i wouldn’t be surprised.

This stood out to me because of the shear hatred that is seething from this person.

I am beginning to get more of these sort of emails weekly.

Is this the voice of a repentant heart?

No.

Our nation is not to that point where we are truly upon our knees crying out to God to save us.

So what point of repentance do we need to be at?

We need to be to the point that this nation will do the following…

“Proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them

Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:

But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands. “

at-the-crossWill we do that now?

No.

Not tomorrow, not next month, not for a while.

Until we get to that point, we will continue to come under God’s Judgment and that is a biblical fact.

I know that what I am writing is one that people do not want to hear.

But I bring it because I am watchman and I care.

Sometimes being a watchman is not the most popular person on the block.

The issue is that it is a Biblical fact with which I speak of.

As much as we want to rally around the flag pole, flood DC with emails, and go hold protests at the capitol, we cannot wrestle against how God judges a nation that is disobedient to Him.

We have not come to a point of gut wrenching repentance for God to forgive us as a nation.

So God’s Judgment will continue.
