Some interesting things took place this past week. Probably the one thing that really stuck out was that the state of New York has “legalized” gay marriage.
I saw the headline come across around 11:30 PM at night. I sent it out instantly to all the PZ Insiders.
The next morning the headlines were as if we have won all the wars in the world. Dancing in the street ensued along with all kinds of “merry making.”
I personally see it as a dark day in the continuing path of America’s demise.
This will have major repercussions nationwide. How many states will have to recognize these legal unions, how many will fight against it?
It is interesting, we have been talking about this in the PZ Forum and several discussions are going on about it.
PZ Insider DK posted a very interesting link from a few days back showing the riots and destruction that took place in Vancouver Canada when the Canadian team lost to Boston in the Stanly Cup.
You can view the carnage here >> http://news.nationalpost.com/2011/06/16/photos-riots-fire-destruction-after-vancouvers-loss/
The central downtown area of Vancouver was destroyed, cars burned, department stores ransacked.
All this because of a stupid hockey game.
To look at these pictures and the utter lawlessness that took place is just amazing.
We are truly living in the last days of the last days.
But it can get a lot worse and I believe that it will.
In all this carnage, destruction and such we need to remember that God is still upon His throne and that He is in control of everything.
At times we forget this and can get all wrapped in the goings on of men and the world. Hey, it happens to me too.
But what we need to remember and also start acting on is cleaving to God’s Word.
There is power in His word and it is His Word that will motivate us and comfort us in these last days.
Even if in all that is going on and the age of the gentile is not over and the Lord tarries, we still have His Word to comfort us through these storms.
Whatever the difficulty God’s Word has the answers for us.
The key is taking the time to open the book and read it.
See the wonderful thing about God’s Word is that it is living. When we read God’s Word, change takes place within our lives. We renew the spirit that is within us and when we faced what seemed like mountains all of a sudden are just speed bumps in the road of life.
I wanted to write something this week that would encourage and give hope in these last days.
I have no idea what our future holds except that things will get worse and worse. That is because God’s Word says it will.
Scripture tells us over and over the He will not leave us nor forsake us and to have no fear.
Deu 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
1Ch 28:20 And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD
Heb 13:5b Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Heb 13:6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
Remember that when you are feeling down, questioning life and have that feeling of being alone. Know that God is with us. That He cares for us and will not forsake us.
No matter what can happen we do not need to fear what man can do.
See, God will give us the grace to deal with any situation that may come across our path. What we need to do is cleave to that promise.
