A rose by any other name would smell as sweet .
– William Shakespeare
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.
– The Duck Test
In that past several weeks I have gotten some emails from folks getting bent out of shape that I am calling them names.
If you remember, I have been writing primarily to men and telling them that now is the time to grow a spine and be ready to stand and defend.
I was having a public debate with a man because he took issue with me saying that we need to stand and defend.
He gave me a lot of pacifist excuses as why he should not defend and if need be use deadly force to protect one’s family and such.
He would dance around issues; say that I am calling him names. Finally I cornered him asking if he would defend his wife and family.
Here is his response…
“No one is willing to stand by and do nothing. That would never happen in front of me. On the other hand, I would never take the life of a sinner to save the life of a saint. I would trust Jesus to open up a better way.”
Dying a martyrs death and speaking love and forgiveness with our last breath is not giving up, it is actually a TOTAL VICTORY that rocks the Kingdom of Darkness to its knees, against which the Devil has no response.
My jaw hit the floor because I have known this person for many years.
I publically called this man a coward, spineless and an infidel for not willing to provide what is necessary for his family.
The verse I stand on is out of 1 Timothy.
1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
I have used these words in my articles and what is interesting is that I have gotten more men upset at me instead of women.
See, when I am on the blunt side, it is the women that take issue with me.
Not this time, it has been the men.
One of my more newer sayings that I totally agree with is the following.
“The Truth sounds like hate to those who hate the truth.”
Is it wrong to call a rose by any other name when in fact it is a rose?
Is it wrong to observe a person and based on that own persons words, character, even their own habitual characteristics and make a determination about that person?
“OH but Ray that is judging and we are not called to judge. “
WOMEN … would you want that “man” as your leader, husband and father of your children KNOWING that he deems you a “martyr” if some bad guy is going to rape, beat, torture and most likely kill you because he would “would never take the life of a sinner to save the life of a saint”?
Often that judge not lest ye be judged line keeps popping up in this sugar coated PC world we live in because to be quiet frank, people have no concept of what they are talking about when referencing that verse. I would have to say that it is probably the most misquoted verse in the Bible today.
Let’s See What the Bible Really Says About Judging…
Psalms 37:30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
Psalms 119:13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
Proverbs 31:9 Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.
Luke 7:43 Jesus commended Simon, “Thou hast rightly judged.”
Ezekiel 22:2 Now, thou son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge the bloody city? yea, thou shalt show her all her abominations.
1 Corinthians 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
1 Corinthians 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
1 Corinthians 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? How much more things that pertain to this life?
This is just a quick sampling of scriptures in the Bible that talk about judging.
What we need to know is that God is our ultimate Judge. But He does not want us walking around like ignorant people. He tells us to discern all things (judge) and has commanded us to judge according to the Word of God.
The problem today is that people have no idea what God’s Word says.
IF we would take the time to look up the word judge in the dictionary we would see that it means to…
“to discern, to distinguish, to form an opinion, to compare facts or ideas, and perceive their agreement or disagreement, and thus to distinguish truth from falsehood.”
How many of you have said “Oh ___________ is a great guy or gal.”
Do you know that you are passing judgment on that person?
You have formed an opinion about someone based on actions (fruit) and from that came to a conclusion… “Joe is a great guy.”
Now how many have walked in a Walmart parking lot at night and you see someone that you feel may do you harm. You have formed an opinion based on actions, situation, location, ect and have deemed that the person you are seeing could be someone who wants to hold you up, steal from you, do you bodily harm, etc.
Again, you have come to a conclusion that this person by their actions is probably bad.
In both of these cases, you have judged.
No Ducks, No Roses
If we did not take the time to judge people then think about the following…
There would be no prisons and every form of evil would run rampant.
You could not discipline your child. They would run rampant
School’s would not be in existence because that means giving grades and evaluating all who attend school. No progress could be shown, no grade, no discipline.
In fact you should marry anyone that asked. Who cares about their character, beliefs, what kind of job they have, what they did in the past.
Did you form an opinion about the person you married prior to marrying them?
You are in violation of “Thou shalt not judge.”
Like it or not, you must admit that you judge and you do it daily. In fact, you probably do it so many times during the day one can easily lose count.
Folks, Lucifer has done a great job of blurring the lines and instead of judging like we are COMMANDED to do, we have bought into the sugar coated PC garbage telling us to “judge not lest ye be judged.”
God gave us a brain to think, reason, be critical and to judge.
We need to start doing this again and then we need to start calling a rose a rose and a duck a duck.
We then need to have the fortitude to call the duck and the rose by name.
Here is a good example…
GOD TV Founder Steps Down over ‘Moral Failure’
The chairman and CEO of GOD TV has resigned. According to Charisma News, Rory Alec has admitted to a “moral failure” involving his marriage.
Alec co-founded the network with his wife, Wendy.
“After 20 years of service, I have had a moral failure this year,” Rory said. “For this reason, I am stepping down. Please forgive me for the disappointment I’ve caused, but I know your eyes are on Jesus who is the author and finisher of your faith, and not on me, an imperfect man. It is with a heavy heart that I confirm my season with GOD TV is over for now.”

MORAL FAILURE??? Really? What is this “moral failure” garbage?
You know what this guy is ? He is an adulterer and has abandoned his wife and family.
OH but we can’t call him an adulterer, that is just too harsh.
Hog wash… to harsh my foot.
How about adding these to the mix… fornicator,
Embezzler (using God’s money for his sinful life),
Womanizer (took advantage of is position to bed a woman),
Whoremonger (the woman who was part of this, she destroyed a marriage and did it out of her own greed and desire. She is a whore.)
We need to drop all this “nice nice, hug hug, sticky sweet pretense and start clearly calling the rose a rose and the duck a duck again.
We have been whipped into thinking that we are not allowed to share what we really think.
To do that is being a bully and mean spirited. We need to act in love because God is love.
For God So LOVED
This PC sticky sweet idea that God is love and that He loves everyone is a lie put out there by the biblically ignorant.
This is a catch all phrase to condone and justify people’s sin.
“Oh I can do this because God loves me and He will forgive me. “
Oh I can have the adulterous affair because God is love.
I can steal that car because God is love and he wants me to have it.
I could go on, but I think you get the idea.
Folks, God loves us, He gave his only son to die for us. He hopes that everyone in the world will come to the saving grace that He is offering.
But what many people forget is that God is a Just God and we cannot do what we want, when we want to if we are called by His name.
We have a responsibility to Him and to His Truth.
You know why we have so many problems in the world today? It is because we lack love.
See, the greatest example of love is when the rich young ruler came running up to Christ, knelt before Him and called Him good. This rich young man KNEW who he was talking to and address the Son of God properly. He knew that he was talking to the messiah, he was talking to God.
We read that He asked Christ “what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?”
Here, please take the time to read the following…
Mark 10:17-22 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.
20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.
21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
We clearly see in verse 21 that “Jesus beholding him loved him.”
Jesus was looking upon this man with true love and concern for his eternal soul.
Then Christ did what many of us today refuse to do, tell him the truth.
That is what I think is missing in this world today.
Telling the truth. This is why I like that saying “The Truth sounds like hate to those who hate the truth.”
The world today does not want to hear the real truth.
They do not want to hear that we have a bunch of effeminate, emasculated men who are spineless cowards and infidels. That they would rather let their wives and family die than be bold and take the life of some dirtbag who is intent on harming and killing their family.
They do not want to hear that they are fornicating adulterating womanizers that make their own lusts and desires above the vows they took with their wife and before a holy God. They want their sin and because they want it, they are now the victims. No these men are cowards and infidels as well.
Christ Told The Truth and Called a Spade A Spade
Like I have said, I have been getting emails from mostly men who do not like it that I am calling them names.
HEY, if the shoe fits, have the fortitude to accept it and wear it.
Folks, Political Correctness is literally killing our nation. This is a cold hard fact.
We do not have sodomites, no we have “gays” – life is so happy and gay isn’t it.
We don’t have adulterers, we have people who have had “moral failures.”
We have the famous “religion of peace” that is busy as bees lopping off heads all over the world, persecuting Christians, pushing their agenda and sharia law. This is anything but a religion of peace.
Everyone is the victim today instead of having the courage and fortitude to accept the evil that they are perpetrating. This is turn justifies their evil so that they can continue conducting their evil.
WHY?
For evil to prevail, all a good man has to do is nothing – and to add to that, say nothing.
Jesus called it like it is. Here is how Jesus called his known “enemies” the Scribes and Pharisees…
1. Ye blind guides (Matt. 23:16).
2. Ye fools (Matt. 23:17).
3. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees…for ye are like whited supulchres…full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness (Matt. 23:27).
4. Ye serpents (Matt. 23:33).
5. Ye generation of vipers (Matt. 23:33).
6. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! (Luke 11:44).
7. Ye are as graves which appear not (Luke 11:44).
In Christ day and time, these were not nice things to say. These were down right fighting words.
In fact check this out, Christ came right out and called these guys sons of Satan..
John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
This was the truth.
So how is it that we have gotten so far away from the truth that the truth today is seen as hate, yet hate is seen as good.
Do you know how many people we are loving right into hell because we do not have the fortitude to call them what they are to their face?
We have gotten so twisted around that today truth is hate.
To tell someone the truth is hateful, unloving and mean spirited. Oh and it is name calling to.
If you think about it, the devil has done a really good job of changing God’s Word and replacing it with a lie.
God’s Word calls men who have anal sex with each other Sodomites.
God’s Word calls those who cheat on their spouse Adulterers.
God’s Word calls those who abuse alcohol Drunkards.
God’s Word calls those who view pornography Fornicators.
God’s Word calls those who are promoting and telling a false gospel Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing.
God’s Word calls people who do not know His Word Ignorant.
God’s Word calls those who will not listen to and believe His Word Fools.
God’s Word calls those who do not understand His Word, the “natural man” also known as Unsaved.
I can go on but you get the idea.
Strong men of God 100+ years ago had absolutely no problem calling people what God’s Word calls people. They spoke the truth in love because they cared and they understood that people are lost and going to Hell. They understood that the only way people could come to saving grace of our Lord is to come to that realization that they are filthy sinners who are lost.
See, before a man can be saved, they need to realize that they are lost. They need to hear the truth.
They need to hear that they are cowards, infidels, adulterers, fornicators, drunkards, effeminate, emasculated and the list goes on.
If we sugar coat these things in “love”, then all we are doing is loving them right into hell.
Like it or not the gospel is not a nice sugar sweet thing.
Christ was tortured, beat, whipped till the bones showed, he bled and he died all for our sins.
We need to come to that realization that we are filthy sinners and we need to accept that we are those names.
Because they are not names, they are who we are and the devil has done a great job at masking that truth to the point that we now hate the truth because the truth hurts, the truth convicts, the truth cuts to the bone and makes us really look at ourselves.
And when we do, we are ashamed at what we see in the mirror, that filthy sinner who is desperately in need of a savior.
The gospel is offensive to those who hear it. It means that they have to either accept the truth or stomp off and continue living their lie.
Romans 9:33 as it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
If you find what I have been presenting offensive and unloving I have to tell you that to share a half truth is in fact akin to telling a full lie.
I had someone this weekend get on me for not sharing the truth in love. They did not like the scriptures I was using and it made them feel uncomfortable. We went round and round. But that person would rather sell the PC version of Christ, the half-truth, than say what is really true and offend them.
Over and over again I told them that the gospel is offensive. They just could not get that “The Truth sounds like hate to those who hate the truth.”
I asked that person why they hated the truth that I was sharing.
They said that I was judging people and I came back, are we not commanded to judge? I made it clear that I was not judging people’s salvation. That is between them and God. But based on scripture I am to judge fruits, actions, character and other things that will give me information to base an opinion on someone.
I asked “ How do we know someone is a Christian? Do you know what the person said “ that if someone tells me they are a Christian, I believe them.”
I came back and asked about Oprah Winfred, Obama, Joel Osteen, Mormons, JWs, etc. SO if they just tell me they are a Christian I am to believe them?
Needless to say that the person got really upset with me and wrote me off as a Pharisee. How dare I use their words against them.
There is an unwillingness to share the truth today.
There is an unwillingness to shine the light on someone and their sins. We do not want them to be uncomfortable and everyone needs to have the “happy, happy, joy, joy” feeling about themselves.
We need to get bold again and start calling rose a rose, a duck an duck and a spade a spade.
These are not names, these are facts that once they are said, maybe it will cause the person to wake up from their PC stupor and realize that they are wrong and that they do need to get their lives right with the Lord.
We have got to stop “loving” people into Hell and have the courage and fortitude to love them enough to tell them the truth even it does hurt.
A great fire and brimstone pastor from the past said it best…
“Worldly desires, appetites, and feelings prevent true Christianity — the human will is, in a sense, enslaved by fleshly and worldly desires. It is therefore necessary for God to awaken people to a sense of guilt and danger and thus produce an opposite excitement or feeling and desire. This counter-feeling breaks the power of worldly desire and leaves the will free to obey God.” – Charles G. Finney
The Truth sounds like hate to those who hate the truth.
1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Do you hate the truth?
Have the boldness and love to tell people the cold hard truth. It might be that one time that wakes them up to the realization that they are lost without a savior or have turned their backs on Him, they forgot all about Him.
Truth is a goad that prods people to action. We need to share the real truth again and stop white washing it with sugar to make it palatable.
We are living in the day and age where we need to have the courage and fortitude to stand and defend instead of allowing ourselves to continue to be the spineless cowards the world has tried to shape us into.
