Isaiah, The Group of Men & The Remnant

ray-gano-medThis past Sunday we made our big announcement that we are be called down to Costa Rica.

The really nice thing is that just about everyone has been supportive. We are really walking in faith right now and we both have a case of the butterflies.

The biggest thing that we can ask for is that you please pray for us asking that God sees us through with out to many bumps in the road. To be truthful, no bumps would be really nice.

I wanted to take some time and share one of the “WHY” we are going to Costa Rica.

The Road / Storm Ahead

I believe is that God is calling people to stay and calling people to go. No matter where we are, hard times are going to affect us.

A good example is Noah. Yes he had the ark and it saved his life, but he had to go through the storm.

Noah and his family were saved from death by the storm, but he and his family still had to go through the storm.

Imagine if you will, there was a lot of sea sickness going on, constantly being tossed and turned, stinky animals and some of them also getting sea sick. These things as well as other things being compounded by being on a boat for so long.

Think of what he might have had to go through living in the Ark.

Bible believing Christians will face hard times ahead. Scriptural example also shows that we can probably expect it.

A storm effects everyone. Just some are more prepared than others. Some people had the foresight to build their arks and ride through the storm where others do not.

Isaiah & The Group of Men

This past year I have been trying to show that God has a “template” on how he deals with nations.

In my series of articles titled “Israel – American & God’s Judgment” I have been pointing out that there is in fact a biblical template on how God deals with nations who turn against Him.

I was sitting in church this Sunday and my pastor spoke on Isaiah 6. It was a great service and what he pointed out was that God called Isaiah to stay and preach to the people during Israel’s hard times.

But something else is in that chapter that I did not catch reading before.

In chapter 6 we see God is giving Isaiah his marching orders.

Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

Isaiah 6:9 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.

We can see that even in the case of Israel and their time of chaos, Isaiah was one of those who were left behind to continue to be a watchman on the wall. Preaching and proclaiming God’s judgment on the nation.

In this he even asks God when could he stop? We read in verse 11 the following.

We clearly see that Isaiah was called to preach till the land became utterly desolate. There was no quitting, there was no retirement.

Isaiah 6:11 Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,

We are seeing God calling people. This is very clear.

But here is the interesting part. God introduces a “Group of Men” who out of them, a tenth of them return.

It is in verse 13 that God introduces “The Remnant”…

Isaiah 6:12 And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.

Isaiah 6:13 But yet in it (the group of men) shall be a tenth, and it (the remnant – the tenth) shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.

I believe that God is opening the doors so that we and others can enter. I believe that those who God is calling out, match the biblical template that Isaiah references regarding the “group of men” found in verse 13.

When the time comes, those who make up that “group of men,” God is later going to call out the remnant (one tenth).

These people will be called back knowing that they are going to make a sacrifice to the land.

But due to their actions in coming back, God, His Word and the preaching of the Gospel will return and those “seeds” will blossom.

I believe another great awakening will take place and THEN 2 Chronicles 7:14 will come about and God will heal our land again.

jonathan-edwardsBut like other nations who were empires in decline, I do not see us returning to our former glory like any other empire.

As always, I look to past history to see where we may go again.

Our nation has been through three periods of chaos.

But from that chaos there has always been a “spiritual awakening.”

We saw it in the 1700s chaos and men like Jonathan Edwards , George Whitfield, and John Wesley; great men of God proclaiming the gospel that impacted our nation.

We had chaos again in the 1800s, men like Charles Finny, Charles Spurgeon, and David Livingston rose up to proclaim the gospel again, not only here but throughout the world.

The last era we had chaos was in the early 1900s, men like Billy Sunday, Harry Ironside, Fuller, DeHaan and the list goes on were called.

As I have stated in other articles that I believe that our nation entered that time of chaos around 2005.

Historically we have an approximate span of twenty years from the beginning of chaos to the end.

What is interesting is that 2015, will be our “peak.” Historically that has been the “worse of the worse.”

If you have been following my series, you also know that God has been trying to get our attention.

In my series I reference Jonathan Cahn’s work. He points out that 9-11 was a sabbatical year and that Sept 2008’s financial demise was also a sabbatical year.

I believe that God is going to continue this “template” and the peak or midpoint of this period of chaos will be Sept 2015, the end of another sabbatical year.

This will be the worse of the worse.

I believe that our nation will be broken and come under bondage. We are seeing it start to form right now.

We are also seeing God prepare bible believing Christians for what is to come and their duty in all of this.

If you have been called, I do not see any sitting on the sidelines. We are all going to have a job to do. It isn’t going to be easy, but He will see us through.

Scripture says…

Ecclesiastes 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

King Solomon in this verse tells us a very simple truth that so many of us forget.

If man does not learn from his past, he is destined to repeat it.

FLEE!!! Seven Compelling Reasons To Move FROM America

Several days ago, John Price sent me an article titled ” FLEE!!! Seven Compelling Reasons To Move FROM America”

It has gotten a LOT of attention. Not only did I send it out to the PZ Insiders, but also posted it to my Facebook and also posted it to the Prophezine website.

Can’t say I agreed with every detail, but some of his high points were hitting the nail on head for Tracye and me personally.

Points being..

– The Culture War is Over, We Fought Hard and We Lost

– Don’t Participate in America’s Sins

– When America Curses Israel It Will Be Cursed

– The Lord Can Use You to Reach People Who Will Respond to the Gospel

I encourage you to read this article if you have not done so. This article as well as other recent events confirmed that me and Tracye were on the right path; and doors continue to open.

The one thing that I want to say is this…

God is Calling People Out, BUT… He is Also Calling People To Stay.

Like Isaiah in chapter 6:8, God is calling people to service here in the US.

What is interesting is that since I shared that article last week I have been getting emails from people saying they need to stay and others claiming they need to go.

Now more than ever we need to recognize that God has a plan and we are not privy to the grand scheme of things.

The Shield of Faith

I am reminded of the Armor of God. Part of that armor is the “Shield of Faith.”

interlocking-shields-medWhen you do a historical study on this shield, we find out was rather large, in fact large enough that a man could stand behind his shield and be protected from the arrows that were flying at him.

The shields were also made so that they could interlock and form a protective covering surrounding the group of men.

What we need to remember is that in all of this, God is in control. He will direct people in which direction they are to go. What we need to do is hunker down behind our shield and allow God to tell us the direction to go.

We can’t see ahead of us, but we must trust Him to tell us which way to go, where to turn, when to stop and to move forward. This is called walking in faith.

This is why that in these days we are facing, we can’t really say if ones person’s direction is the right direction for you or not.

Now I know that in Tracye and my case, God has directed us to go. God did not bring Gary, John and I together to go sip coconut juice on the beach. The three of us as well as other ministries that I am learning about are there for a reason.

God is linking up other people here in the US as well.

God is doing something by bringing ministries together.

I know that in our case with Gary Kah and John Price, all of us see a broad common direction.

I cannot speak fully for the other ministries, but we (Tracye and I) have a very strong desire to help Christians in the relocation process, to help assist, and help them assimilate in our area.

Now the interesting thing is that I also have a very good contact in Belize doing the same thing. He is helping Christians come down to Belize and helping them set up and get assimilated down there.

IN FACT, I also know 2 – 3 Prophezine readers who have already started that process and they are actually building homes down there.

God is moving and this is a great example of how some Christians are being called to different parts of the world.

Another example of this is Chuck Missler being called to New Zealand. There are ministries I know of that are being called to Ecuador and Panama.

Is God Calling You?

If you are reading this and you are a bible believing Christian, odds are very good that God is calling you to service. Be it here or out of country, God is calling us.

What we need to remember is that if you believe God is calling you out, it is for a reason.

My advice is if you feel this calling, start taking steps like we did and see where the Lord directs you. He may be calling you to stay, but he may be calling you to go too.

But something that I would recommend you NOT do, is to do nothing.

I believe that if you are being called and do nothing, you are in disobedience to Him.

I can’t say one way or another if you are being called. You need to discern that yourself and seek God’s direction.

What I do know is that if you do not answer that call, you will miss out on blessings and probably go down a path of misery and hardship for not listening to Him.

Over the years Tracye and I have learned to get out of the boat and walk on the water with Him.

It is called “walking in faith” and at times it can be pretty harrowing. What we have learned is to not take our eyes off the Lord. When we do, we start to flounder and sink. But once we put our eyes back on Him.

The following is our “life verse”…

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
