relationships-with-god-410-200Better Your Relationships With God and Others – Pt 18

In my first solution I presented that we need to get back to the Word of God. The bible that united this nation was the King James Bible, it was the version that the founding fathers stood upon. Today we are a nation divided with over 300 different versions of the bible. If we are to unite again, we need to get back to what united our forefathers, that was the authorized Word of God.

We cannot unite if we are all following different versions. Simple logic dictates, “Things different are not the same.” If you think that modern versions are just as good or are the same, then you are mistaken. If you are using a modern version, a very good book that I recommend is ” One Book Stands Alone by Dr. Douglas D. Stauffer.

We know for a fact that what worked for the founding fathers was successful. We have a role model that we can emulate / copy. If we truly care about the direction this nation is going, it would behoove us to return to that working role model instead of rejecting it like we have been in our past.

The alternative, if we do not act in time, will be bondage, servitude, slavery, persecution, imprisonment and FEMA camps.

The next solution that we need to get under our belt and fast is our relationships.

Our relationship with God is lacking and our relationships with each other are lacking even more. We have become a society where we do not know our neighbors, and some of us don’t even know our own family members. Sure we may live in the same house, but our relationships are superficial and lacking any real depth.

So for us to survive the coming chaos that will blow over this nation like no other, we need to work on our relationships.

Our Relationship With God

This is the most important relationship that we have. In times of suffering, persecution and hardship, it will be our relationship with our heavenly father that will make the difference. If our relationship with Him is lackluster, we will not have the fortitude to stand and do what is right. In fact if we do not have a strong relationship we will fold like cheap lawn furniture.

The time is now to renew our relationship with Him. I am not talking about some warm fuzzy sort of thing either.

Jesus Christ is God who came in the flesh to save the world. He is the creator, is… was and always will be.

Scripture Says…

John 1:1-3 (KJV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

He is the one who died for us, he gave His life so that we should live. In today’s world we often forget that.

So many Christians blow it off saying “Yea, ok so he died, so what, he is God he was suppose to do that for us.”

Romans 12:1 (KJV) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Right there in black and white is God’s expectation. He died for us, we are commanded to live for Him. It is our reasonable service.

Jesus Christ is our LORD and SAVIOR. We do not treat Him as our Lord nor do we show the proper respect due to our Lord who did save us. We give lip service, but our lives do not reflect it.

We are to give our very lives to the service of Jesus Christ our Lord. I would say that 90% of Christians out there are not even close to that, at least here in the US.

I am not talking about getting saved either. I am talking about what do we do after we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

We are saved by Grace through Faith. Now that we are saved, He is our King, Our Savior, Our Lord. Just as in the days of kings, Jesus is our King and we owe more to Him that we can ever pay back.

Our lives, our reasonable service is to give our all to Him.

This is the relationship that we have forgotten. This the relationship that we need to get back to. It is this sort of relationship that the founding fathers had with the Lord. It is that sort of relationship that empowers man to stand against tyranny looking into death’s face and say “No King But King Jesus.”

Do you have that sort of relationship with God?

You may say you do, but does your life reflect it?

If you cannot say that you have that type of relationship, you need to get yourself right with Him. It is your reasonable service and there are no other options.

Our relationship with God, serving Him at this level, is a day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute life style.

I know that some of you out there are telling me that this is impossible. My first question and yea it is going to sting is this… ” Do you read and stand upon the King James Bible?”

If you don’t, then you will always lack that 100% strength that His Word provides. You might be 95% there, but no matter what you lack some fortitude, conviction, steadfastness, something that the KJV has that your modern version does not.

See here is the issue, how do you know how to live within God’s power and might when what you are reading lacks those very things you need?

Again, things different are not the same.

bibleI am not trying to make this a KJV only sort of argument. What I am looking at is historical evidence. Our forefathers had something we do not have. They had unity, conviction, steadfastness and fortitude. They were united under one banner, one motto… “No King But King Jesus.”

Can we honestly say that today as Christians united?

Again, we need to get back to the role model that worked and stop lying to ourselves for the sake of our own pride and pet sins we love so much. That is whole reason man created modern version, so that they can encapsulate their pet sins and then be able to justify themselves with their modern versions.

You might be saying to yourself that you do not have any pet sins. That maybe true, you may not murder, lie, cheat or steal. But an unwillingness to submit to God fully or His Word is rebellion.

You may make excuses, have read all the books refuting this, name all the scholars “proving” your points, but no matter what, you are not submitting and you are living in rebellion in one form or the other.

We have a role model, we know that it worked, why are we unwilling to change to get back to that role model that does work and that made the difference?

The reason is pride and rebellion that holds us back.

Do we truly love God? If we stick with our pet rebellion, I have to say no, not fully. There is still a part of our heart uncommitted to Him. It is a heart that in part is still committed to our selfish desires. Why do you think so many people out there, Christian and heathen, battle against fundamentalism, the King James Bible, the core tenants of the faith? Then they in turn replace those things that serve their selfish desires more than serving God?

See, it does not matter what we like, what feels good, or what is warm and fuzzy. What matters is that we are in obedience and living in submission to Him.

If we are not living this way then we are not giving the creator of the universe, the Lord who gave His life for us, the King of Kings & Lord of Lords.

We do not have shades of gray. Thinking that we do is a lie of the enemy. Either we serve Him with our all, or we do not.

This is the type of relationship our Forefathers had and it is that type of relationship that we seriously lack today.

What do we need to do?

Get back to having a proper relationship that is our reasonable service.

How do we do that?

1 – We Need To Learn To Pray Again

Many of us lack great prayer time. Some of us the only prayers we offer up is the prayer over our food, that is if we even do that. We need to learn to open those lines of communication again with God.

See how this works is we speak to Him, and He speaks to us through His Word.

This is why having the Authorized version that God promised to preserve is so important. We do not want Him talking to us to be watered down at all. Ever word we read has power and conviction. It is that power and conviction that emboldens us to stand with steadfastness and fortitude.

Yea I know I keep bringing it back to His Word, solution #1, but it is vitally important. The founding fathers were who they were because of God’s Word.

But more than that, they also recognized that prayer was of utmost importance.

We need to be praying without ceasing.

Scripture says…

1 Thessalonians 5:17 (KJV) Pray without ceasing.

This means that throughout the day we are to maintain conversation, worship, edification to the Lord.

repentSecondly we are to give thanks for “every thing” not “everything” or “all things” like many modern versions change, but every thing. There is a difference, you may not think there is, but there is. Things different are not the same.

Scripture says…

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV) In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

2 – Give Up Your Pet Sins and Things That You Know Displeases God!

You need to have an attitude of ” If God is against it, so am I.” If we are not living in full obedience to Him, we are not walking fully with Him. We are not living a life of giving our “reasonable service” to Him. If that is the case our relationship is lacking. The key is to get closer to Him and build a better relationship.

What you many not know is that sin originates in the heart. How we keep our hearts clean is by renewing our minds and spirit through the reading of His Word and allowing Him to speak to us through His word.

It is easier to keep the heart clean than to have to clean it when it has been defiled. Prayer and reading God’s Word is how we keep the heart clean and free of sin.

3 – Love God’s Word and Grow in Understanding it.

Have you ever been away for some time and gotten a letter from someone you love?

Maybe you served in the military and got a love letter from your girlfriend. Maybe you were away on business that demanded you to be away for a long period of time and got that love letter from your wife or husband.

Do you remember how much you cherished it?

Did you read it over and over again?

Maybe your wife or fiancé’ sprayed it with some of her favorite perfume. How often did you smell it?

In fact, did you go to bed with it that night so that you could smell that wonderful fragrance throughout the night, having sweet dreams of your beloved?

Do you remember that feeling?

Now, how would you feel if I took that love letter that you cherished so much and re-wrote it maybe paraphrased it in some places, not much, just a word here or a word there. In a sense, censoring the love letter. How would you feel then?

What would you say if instead of spraying that censored love letter with your gal’s favorite perfume I picked something completely opposite of what she would have liked.

Would it bring sweet memories to your mind like the perfume she wore?

If we truly love God’s Word, we want the purest “love letter” we can get. God promised us that He would provide that even in a sea of confusion. His word would persevere. For the English speaking world that is the Authorized King James Version. Like it or not, all the modern versions are just censored versions of the love letters He meant for us.

I think back to the time I was in Basic Training. It was a whole lot different than what it is today. It was longer and harder. Then there was Airborne School, then advanced Airborne school. Then all the training we did in Special Ops. In those days I lived for those love letters from my girlfriend. It was funny our platoon sergeant during mail call would hand out the mail. He had a rule, if there were “cute girly stickers” on the envelope or if it smelled like perfume, you had to do pushups. And yea, this was when I was already out of basic and at Bragg.

Well my girlfriend liked to do that, so I did a lot of pushups for my mail. Would I tell my platoon sergeant “No” I don’t want the letter? Heck no. I was dying to hear from my girlfriend and to smell her perfume, it empowered me to know that I was loved.

I did what I needed to do so that I could get that love letter. I LOVED the person who sent it and “Loved” the letter because it connected me to that special person.

How we loved those letters, what we did to get them, the connection, the empowerment of those words written. That is how we are to love God’s Word.

We need to discard the censored, fake, off smelling modern love letters that we call “the bible” and get back to the authorized King James Version so that we can have the unadulterated words, the fragrance, the love, and power that only the KJV has; and the censored modern versions lack.

It is the KJV that made our forefathers great and it is what will make us great again.

Our forefathers LOVED God’s Word. They died for it. Yes high taxes was what was a part, but it came down to loving God’s Word and the freedom to worship Him; that is what they died and spilled blood for.

Would you be willing to die for some censored version? Would you even have the power, fortitude and courage to die?

Do you realize that without the freedom to worship God as presented in the first amendment, all of the rest of the bill of rights fall like a house of cards?

It is the freedom of religion that allows freedom of speech and of the press. It is freedom of religion that also preserves our right to bear arms so that we can always ensure the gospel is being taken to the world.

See if God’s Word and the freedom to worship God was not important, then we would not have the bill of rights today.

This is why so many Christians and heathen, saved and unsaved alike have attacked the one key foundation that was such a major influence if not “THE” influence that shaped this nation. That is The King James Bible.

Let me ask this. How many of you right now are mad at me for hammering this the way I am?

Why are you mad? Why do some of you “buck” against what I am saying right now? Is it possible that deep down you know I am correct and that we need to get back to a role model that we know for a fact works?

Do you see how the world and the enemy has lied to you? Do you see that you are flustered at me and you are feeling the goads of the Holy Spirit pricking you in an irritating way?

If this is you, what you are feeling is your rebellious spirit rejecting the conviction of the Lord. He uses those irritating goads to get your attention.

What you need to do is decide do you submit to those goad of the Holy Spirit and turn, or do you remain in rebellion and the goads will get worse.

If you do not love the Word of God, then stay where you are with your censored modern version. But the day will come that you will need to draw upon His power and you will find that you yourself comes up lacking. The power and conviction will not be there when you need it. Yes, you will have some, but not all. It is at that time that God will, in His little voice, remind you of your prideful rebellious choice.

Some of you know what I am speaking of. You have already felt that before. I know that I have and that is why I now stand fully submitted to Him. I have to admit that there are times when I do not want to submit, but I also understand the consequences if I do not and do it anyways.

Why do I submit?

I submit because I love God and love His unadulterated, irrefutable, inerrant Word that is found today in the Authorized King James Version. The version that gave power and conviction to this nation when it was born.

For us to succeed and survive the coming storm, we need to regain that level of relationship that our forefathers had.

They were willing to die and lose everything for the sake of their relationship with the Lord. They understood what one’s reasonable service was. They lived for God and most of them died for Him in bringing about this nation.

That is the relationship that we need to return to, that is if we are going to survive the days ahead.

The time of playing church and happy Sunday morning Christian is over.

washingtonprayer-410-200It is easy to go stand in line for a few hours in the hot sun at Chick-Fil-Am and my kudos to you for doing that.

But how many are willing to stand in line for the firing squad because you had the gall to share the gospel and see one more person give their lives to the Lord so that they can be with us in Heaven forever?

We will need to have that non wavering foundation of a relationship with God to be able to do that.

That sort of character, steadfastness, and fortitude only comes through a relationship that is submitted and committed fully with 100% obedience to Him.

Will we falter and fall? Of course, yes we will. We still live in a world and a body driven by our sinful flesh. But if we have that pure relationship, communicating with Him in prayer, living and loving His Word, we will have that power and conviction.

Scripture says…

Ephesians 6:13 (KJV) Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

And Having DONE ALL, that means exactly what it means. We have done all in submission and obedience to Him. We have lived a life of reasonable service. We have done all, pure relationship, prayer, loving and standing upon His word. Because we have done all, we can then STAND, when that time to face the evil day has come. And it is coming, no doubts about it. The rubber is meeting the road and time is running out. We will either stand or we will fold like cheap lawn furniture.

Solution #1 and #2 go hand in hand. Without His Word and a solid relationship with God we will be like chaff in the wind. For if that day of reckoning comes and we are still chaff, regret will set in and we would have wished that we did the following…

Romans 12:1 (KJV) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

In the next installment I will talk about point #4 – our relationship with others and choosing to be with people who are also seeking a quality relationship with God.

Lone Rangers will not make it. Those who have built and have ties with other like minded Christians will. We may even have to go underground to foster these relationships. But if we have a solid relationship with God, put our sins behinds us and love His Word, these other relationships will grow and flourish even in times of hardship, trials and even persecution.

One Book Stands Alone by Dr. Douglas D. Stauffer

one book stands aloneI know that for some of you this article rubbed you the wrong way based on what you have learned over the past about the different bible versions. Thing is that those articles and books were written in rebellion. You took the time to read that side, I encourage you to take the time to educate yourself to why these books are written in rebellion.

One Book Stands Alone by Dr. Douglas D. Stauffer is a must read. I have many books on this topic, but this book is at the top of my list. In today’s world it is extremely important to get honest facts, and this book has them. Many books on this issue are written by those with an agenda to promote their world view and written out of rebellion, thus ending up being one sided. I have had the pleasure to meet Doug Stauffer and he is a true man of God, and humble. He also knows what he is talking about. I too used to rely on modern versions, that is till I met Doug and read his book.

What others have said…

A spiritual masterpiece! This book will strengthen your faith.
