I look around at our nation and if you are like me you are discouraged at what you see. We have a president that seems hell bent on destroying our nation and he is taking it down the path of communism/socialism.
Crime, hedonism, and debauchery are rampant and there is a “heaviness” to the air, so thick you can cut it with a butter knife.
But what is encouraging is that the land that we love, the nation that we are proud of, it is still there.
See we are a land where the minority is ruling the majority.
For example, the majority of our nations stands with Israel, but our leaders stand with Muslim’s who want to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.
The majority do not believe in homosexual marriage and do not see sodomites as “normal.” The majority do not agree with the homosexual agenda and we know from the bottom of our hearts that it is wrong because God’s Word says it is an abomination unto Him.
We look out across this great land of ours, but many do not see her greatness anymore from all the “tarnish and sin” she has sunk down too.
But if you begin to peel back the layers, much like an onion has, you will begin to see that the goodness and kindness of our nation of yesteryear is still present today, one just has to look for it.
Yes it is true our nation is hurting, but our nation has been in places much like this before. See, it isn’t who we elect, the rules we make that make our nation great. It is her people, in fact it is her God fearing people that make the difference.
People ask “where is the hope?”
What people have forgotten is that our hope does not lie within our abilities to change, it lies within our abilities to believe and have faith in our God in Heaven.
Proverbs 3:5-6 states…
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
We have leaned upon our own understanding and because of this we as a nation have become prideful, conceited and appear great in our own eyes.
We have forgotten that it is God in Heaven, Jehovah, is the one we serve and whom this country was founded upon. We have forgotten that it is the providence of God that makes our nation great.
Today is Memorial Day, the day we remember the men and women who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
This too is something that we seem to have forgotten.
Memorial Day is now is a day to go shopping and get “stuff” on sale. To get together and have a BBQ, drink beer, play football and not even have one thought of those brave souls who gave their all.
In fact, many have no idea what Memorial Day is all about anymore. Ask ten people on the street and you will get ten different answers.
Our nation is still great because we are still good in our core. But we need to peel back some of the sinful, filthy layers to get to that core.
I know that our nation will be great again, we will be great because it is the majority who will one day stand up and say no to the minority who are trying to destroy this nation. We see this already taking place.
But standing up and holding rallies is not enough.
If we as Godly men and women truly want to see change in our land and return to the God, the place we need to start is upon our knees.
Scripture says…
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
We still live in a great land and I would not choose to live anywhere else. I know that there are many who may think differently, but we can make a difference, we just have to return to Jehovah God, turn from our wickedness and repent of our sins, correct what we have wronged and try to make right again.
We have been down this road before as a nation, and as a nation we have always found our way back.
I know that there are many who disagree with me and say I am wrong in my assessment. But what we need to do is always turn to His Word and in it holds the outcome.
I say this because at Christ’s return, He judges the nations. He separates the “goat” nations from the “sheep” nations. The goat nations stood against Israel, the Sheep nations stood with Israel.
Matthew 25:31-34 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Now I know that many of you are saying that we are standing against Israel. Our administration is, but the hearts of the people still support the people of Israel.
I say all of this with confidence because there is a very interesting scripture found in one of the books of the minor prophets, Micah.
Micah 5:5-6 And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men. 6 And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.
The man of peace, that is Christ returning. The Assyrian, that is the Antichrist who stands against Israel and has divided the land.
But what many overlook is the seven shepherds and eight principal men. I believe these are nations who will stand up against the Antichrist at that great battle. They will stand with our Warrior Messiah Jesus and help do battle against those who stand with the Antichrist.
I believe that America will be one of these seven shepherds or eight principal men. Our nations stands with Jehovah God at her core. We just have forgotten the morals and character of our fathers. We have forgotten the God whom we serve. Once we humble ourselves and return to Him, He will heal our land once again.
We are a “sheep nation” and we will stand with Him. We are still the most powerful nation in the world, we are that way for a reason. I believe that in the end our nation will be one of those who stand with our Messiah at His return and help wipe out the Antichrist’s empire.
But to get there, we need to right our wrongs and the first step we need to take is upon our knees asking for forgiveness and repent of our sins.
Let us not allow the blood that has been spilt for this nation be in vain. Get back to where we came from, back to the Lord and let Him heal this great land again.
We are great because we are good. We just have lost our way, but God is there waiting for us.
Scripture says…
Psalms 27:8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Let us seek out the Lord OUR God and pray our nation be healed again.
